The automotive industry has its own rules and guidelines . This is proven by different specific terminologies (APQP, PPAP, EMPB,…) as well as its own standards (ISO TS 16949).
The experts at AWACON are familiar with automotive industry terminology and will not require further explanation in the world of Tier 1, Tier 2 suppliers. They are aware of the expectations required within the automotive industry.
Tooling
We are able to support you with your tooling concept from idea on to the physical tool. With our know how concerning split lines, draft angles and ejectors: Our experience will protect and realise your investment.
Assemblies
The OEM’s are out sourcing always bigger modules to the tier 1 suppliers. This is reducing the expenditure for the OEM, but is more challenging for the contractor.
We will accompany you on your journey from the concept until the production is up and running, always focusing on cost management, both in production and investment, as well as achieving milestones defined in the project plan. Another special focus from AWACON is optimising production flow and reducing the scrap rate.
Paint jobs
Pending on the amount of produced parts it does make sense to paint either by hand or by robot. We will support you by choosing the right process and the right partner including the necessary documentation PPAP or VDA.
Kinematic systems
High performance cars with a permanently reduced weight as well as demanding emission regulations lead to more and more kinematic systems. We are able to support you with ideas on how you can reduce the complexity of these systems and reduce the assembly time to gain a more robust lightweight system.
